Building upon Ikon's many years experience in high quality digital audio distribution, the Ikon DC5 system ignores the usual bandwidth limited analogue audio Cat 5 offerings by carrying digitised audio between input and output nodes. You can connect any type of input module to any type of output module using a single Cat 5 cable.
All units have IDC 'punch down' terminations for the Cat 5 cable and power is only required on the receivers as the transmitters are phantom powered. Stereo / twin channel audio is transmitted in the AES3 format at 20bit 48KHz. |
Available in both balanced and unbalanced formats for the connection and digitisation of stereo or twin channel analogue audio signals.
Both signal presence and overload indications are provided as well as power. Analogue input modules are also fitted with an input preset for correct level matching.
These modules can be used with any of the DC5 receiver modules. |

For use with a signal already in the digital domain. This module can carry both stereo audio (S/P-DIF or AES3) as well as DTSTM and DOLBYTM multichannel formats.
Power, input link & format indication is provided. |
All output modules have status indication to confirm power, transmitter link, and if the signal is a multichannel audio format. Multichannel output is only available in digital format from the DC5-DOI.
The rear of all modules is the same offering easy IDC termination to the Cat 5 cable. The output modules also have a detachable screw terminal for the 12V DC connection. |
